Our Special Projects Coordinator, Rosandra González was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on August 5, 1986 to parents Jorge Gonzalez and Marta Vazquez. She is the youngest of four siblings and has two nephews and two nieces. At the age of 13, God allowed her family to move to Florida and once settled in Tampa, she began visiting a Pentecostal church where she accepted Christ as her savior and began her journey with Christ.

In 2007, Rosandra was selected as part of her church’s youth leadership as Secretary/Treasurer. In 2009, she was promoted to the youth’s president. Later that year, she began attending the University of South Florida. While studying, she had the opportunity to work with special needs children in a respite care program and children with behavioral issues through the Social Work Program at the university. That’s where she discovered her passion for the vulnerable population, especially children.  She strongly believes that if you make a difference in a child, you make a difference in the world.

In May of 2013, while working and studying simultaneously, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. She currently works with the Department of Elder Affairs in addition to being her church’s treasurer.

She is very grateful to all the doors that God has opened for her. She is very excited to work along Visionaries of Christ Ministries to further the kingdom of God and bring the good news to the world and help the vulnerable and needy.
